2011 National Poetry Month Challenge 30/30

April 1, 2011

Dear April, 2011:

Good morning.

I write to offer my apologies. For three consecutive years, I’ve participated in your “30/30 Challenge” (NAPOWRIMO) and am admittedly proud to say I’ve done so to full completion each time. No, not the greatest work, but work all the same. It’s been tough – nearly impossible at times – and simultaneously incredibly rewarding. Unfortunately, 2011 has provided even more obstacles than prior years and I’m afraid I’m overextended; simply unable to fully complete your challenge. However, if it isn’t too much to ask, I’d still like to participate in the game where possible. Use me from the ‘bench’ – I can promise you my all in a game of thirds. Thus, one poem every three days (many more if the opportunity presents). I’ll post them here: [http://jeaverlee.blogspot.com/].

Please give my very best to everyone who is taking your challenge full-on – regardless whether they finish or not. You present a grueling task and I applaud all the dedicated poets participating. I cannot wait to read their hard, beautiful work.

All the best in life, heart, poem,
Jeanann
